NATUROPATHY
Detoxification and enhancing life force or vital energy in the body is called naturopathy. It is a science of natural life which takes into account mind, body, soul all together as the core concept of healing. Nature cure is as old as nature itself. All important aspects of nature cure are mentioned in Vedas such as fasting and treatment by water. There are various examples of legends in the history who cured or treated themselves only with the help of nature. One such example is Raja Dileep Singh who had undergone Milk Kalp and had lived in forests. The infertile queens of King Dasharath had undergone Fruit Kalp and had eaten only one type of fruit after which they could give birth to children. In the early ages, there were no medicines but whenever people became unwell, they fasted to regain health. Treatment with medicines was very simple, and therefore, it became popular among the public. But the use of medicines was a wrong way for treating the sick. Therefore, the general health began to deteriorate. Today the main cause of diseases is the extensive use of medicines which are actually drugs (as mentioned on them).
Since ages, the five elements of nature has been used to cure diseases. Hippocrates is regarded as the father of Nature Cure. If we look at history we find that in ancient times there were neither medicines nor doctors as we have at present. Even in those times people stay fit and remained healthy. They were not weak and unhealthy as people are these days. In fact earlier people were physically, mentally and spiritually strong. They knew the importance of living in harmony with nature. Hence, lived a happy and healthy life.
In nature cure yoga asana have a special place which has also been practiced in our country since ancient times. If someone practices the yoga asanas and yogic kriyas, he would never fall sick although would attain a very long life. The treatments given in nature cure were well known in India in ancient times though the names were different. For example : Water sipping was known as “achman”, Sitz bath as “jalsparsh”, Enema as “vasti”, Steam bath as “sved snan”, Sun gazing is similar to “traatak”, Sun bath was served as “surya namaskar” and Air cure was “pranayama”.
Importance of fasting is also mentioned in Chandyog Upnishad, that a person can fast for 15 days if he drinks plenty of water during fast and how a fast should be broken. Nature cure in one or the form was known all over the world but later on as the influence of medicines and doctored increased, people began to forget nature cure. Drugs in the form of suppressive medicines. Till date people do not realize that these medicines never cure the diseases but only suppress them.

Healthy Diet & eating habits (Aahar dravya)
Food is the basis of life. Food is essential for the life of every living being. From very microscopic bacteria to large animals, humans, trees, and other plants have to take food. Plants get their food from the earth and air in the form of inorganic salts and carbon dioxide respectively. In sunlight, plants prepare suitable carbohydrates, fats and other substances from these within themselves.
Humans and animals get their food from plants and animal bodies. In this way, they get a ready-made diet, the components of which are made up of the same inorganic basic elements, which the plants take in from earth and air. Therefore, trees prepare food for the animal class. Some plants are also used as medicines.
Diet or food has three purposes:
1. To give power to the body or each of its parts,
2. To rebuild the cells destroyed by the breakdown of tissues in daily activities, and
3. To give power to protect the body from diseases.
Therefore, only that diet is suitable for health, which fulfils these three objectives. Healthy eating habits help us stay fit for long and improves vitality.Hence we also conduct sessions to train people on following right diet routine for better health.
